Whether you're looking to check in on your health, get moving or unwind with an outdoor concert, the township is offering something for every age on Wednesday, July 29.
Start the day with a free health screening
The Livingston Health Department will offer free blood pressure screenings from 10 a.m. to noon at the Senior/Community Center, 204 Hillside Ave.
The screenings are open to Livingston residents and available on a walk-in basis, though appointments can also be made by calling 973-535-7961, ext. 7109, 7108 or 7110.
Health officials say the screenings are especially important because high blood pressure often has no warning signs. Left untreated, it can increase the risk of heart disease and stroke.
Dance into the afternoon
At 1 p.m., the Senior/Community Center will swap stethoscopes for dance shoes with a free Senior Adult Zumba Beach Class led by instructor Simone.
Advance registration is required through CommunityPass or in person at the center.
End the day with live music
The day wraps up at 7 p.m. when New Jersey pop-rock band The Wag takes the stage at the gazebo in Memorial Park as part of Livingston's Summer Nights at the Oval concert series.
Bring a lawn chair or blanket and enjoy an evening of live music under the summer sky. Admission is free, and no registration is required.
