Livingston's girls cross country team ran its Super Essex Conference dual-meet record to 20-0 through two weeks, going 5-0 in the American Division.

Newcomer Ali Agha has been the Lancers' top finisher at every meet this fall. Agha won the Week 2 dual meet on Sept. 14 in 23:23 after placing second in Week 1 on Sept. 8 in 22:43. Avery Lau, Tara Sarode, captain Jordan Krentcil and Allison Zhou have filled the scoring pack behind her, with Zhou running a personal best in Week 2.

The SEC dual-meet season opened at Branch Brook Park in Newark, where the conference format allows teams to enter up to 12 runners with seven counting toward the score. Livingston fielded 11 in Week 1 and swept Bloomfield (24-35), Verona (25-32) and West Essex (26-31). Week 2 brought wins over Caldwell and Mount Kimberly Academy to complete the 20-0 start.

The Lancers got their first look at a championship-caliber course at the Holmdel Opener on Sept. 18. Agha placed fourth in the 5K in 22:59, and Lau earned a medal in 15th (24:11). Livingston finished fifth among 10 schools with 103 points, according to the West Essex Tribune.

The novice group has added depth. Aashi Kohad led the two-mile novice race with top-six finishes in both dual-meet weeks, and Jodi Amadin paced the novice squad to a sixth-place team finish at Holmdel.

Agha opened the season Sept. 4 at the Lancer Invitational at Littell's Pond, finishing fifth in 22:10 as Livingston placed third with 80 points in a field of roughly 150 female runners across 12 teams.

The first three weeks of SEC dual meets take place on Branch Brook Park's flat paths. The schedule then shifts to the rolling hills of Cedar Grove Park for the final dual meet and the conference and county championship races.

Livingston is scheduled to race Saturday, Sept. 26 at Garret Mountain in Woodland Park on the state sectional course.
