A Hispanic Heritage Month book sale opens Tuesday, Sept. 15, at the Livingston Public Library. The Friends of the Livingston Public Library will stock a special table of books and non-print media by Hispanic artists through Wednesday, Sept. 23, according to the West Essex Tribune.
The table will be set up near the Friends Book Store in the library's Periodical Lounge. Prices match the store's everyday rates.
The sale is part of the Friends' Heritage Celebration Sales series, which highlights different cultural observances throughout the year. The group held a similar sale for Black History Month in February.
The Friends Book Store carries fiction, nonfiction and children's books along with CDs and DVDs across roughly two dozen categories. New stock is added weekly. All proceeds go to the Livingston Public Library.
Beyond the bookstore, the Friends sponsor library programs including Story Coders, Teen Take & Make crafts, Anime Club and Performing Arts Club.
