The Livingston Public Library is offering free guided bird walks at Littell's Pond this September, led by adult services librarian Kerri Wallace.
The three-session series, "Birding Walks: Fall Migration," runs 4 to 5:30 p.m. on Sept. 3, Sept. 10 and Sept. 17. Wallace, whom the library's event listing describes as an avid birder, will help participants spot backyard species like blue jays, cardinals and crows, along with fall migrant warblers.
No experience is required, and all ages are welcome. The library will have binoculars available to borrow.
Registration is required for each session individually and is open now. The program is weather-dependent; registered participants will be notified of cancellations. Call (973) 992-4600 for more information.
