The Livingston Zoning Board of Adjustment approved two of five applications at its Thursday, Sept. 10 special hearing. Three others were continued to future meetings.
Among the continued cases: a proposal by Crystal Plaza Group, Inc. to add a lawn and garden area at 305-307 West Northfield Road. Attorney Corey Klein appeared before the board on behalf of Crystal Plaza, seeking approval to amend the venue's previously approved site plan to include the outdoor space and landscaping improvements, the West Essex Tribune reported. The application is the second amendment to Crystal Plaza's original 2018 site plan.
No return date has been set.
The board's Sept. 10 agenda listed five applications for the special hearing, which began at 7 p.m. after a 6:45 p.m. conference session:
- 8 Sycamore Avenue — Consulting G5, LLC, seeking a variance for a new single-family residence in the R-3 zone.
- 11 Volker Lane — Inga Cohen, seeking a variance for a new single-family house and pool in the R-1 zone.
- 1 Spalding Drive — Lokanath Nagaraja, seeking a variance for a second-floor addition in the R-4 zone.
- 7 Beacon Avenue — Arc of Essex County-Group Home, seeking a variance for a first-floor addition in the R-2 zone.
- 305-307 West Northfield Road — Crystal Plaza Group, Inc., seeking a site plan amendment in the R-3 zone.
Which applications were approved and which were continued could not be confirmed from available records.
The Sept. 10 meeting followed a busy stretch for the board. At its Thursday, Aug. 20 meeting, the board approved six of seven applications, according to the West Essex Tribune.
The conference portion of the Sept. 10 session also included memorializing resolutions for seven previously decided applications at addresses including 9 Tower Road, 26 Crestview Hill Road, 13 Clover Lane, 33 Cobblewood Road, 28 East Harrison Place, 159 West Hobart Gap Road and 19 Sycamore Terrace.
