Two downtown Millburn parking lots will shut down all day Wednesday, Sept. 16, and the township is directing permit holders to two other locations.
Parking Lot #19, at the corner of Essex Street and Spring Street, and Parking Lot #6, at Town Hall Plaza, will close for work that day, according to a notice on the township's website. No parking will be allowed in either lot while work is underway.
The township did not say what kind of work will be done or when the lots will reopen, Patch reported. The closure notice describes the shutdown as lasting through the day but does not mention additional dates.
Permit holders who normally use Lot #19 or Lot #6 have two alternatives. The township directed them to the parking garage on Essex Street or Lot #16, near the Department of Public Works yard on Main Street.
The township posted the notice on its website Wednesday, Sept. 9, and on its X account Thursday, Sept. 10.
