Millburn Township mailed its Final 2026 and Preliminary 2027 property tax bills on Wednesday, Sept. 16.
The next payment is due Nov. 1, according to a notice from the township's Tax Collector office. The bills also include the leaf collection schedule.
Residents can pay three ways: in person or by mail at Town Hall, 22 East Willow St., or online through the township's payment portal.
The final bills follow a delayed certification process. On May 5, the Millburn Township Committee adopted Resolution 26-131, authorizing estimated tax bills for the third installment of 2026 taxes because the Essex County Board of Taxation had not certified the tax rate on schedule, according to meeting minutes. That resolution set the estimated 2026 tax levy at $208,733,431. The final bills now reflect the certified rate.
