Millburn's annual community bike ride returns Sunday, Sept. 20, with three routes for riders of all ages and experience levels.

The Tour de Millburn starts at 375 Millburn Ave. and offers courses ranging from two to 15 miles. The township announced the event on X on Sept. 4, calling it a celebration of safe biking in Millburn and Short Hills. Registration is $20 per rider through CommunityPass, and organizers are looking for volunteers to help pull off the ride.

Advanced cyclists age 16 and older hit the road first on the 15-mile course at 8 a.m. Experienced riders age 10 and older follow at 8:30 a.m. on the seven-mile route. Families, seniors and newer cyclists start the two-mile course at 9 a.m., according to Patch.

The ride is not a race. Cyclists can enjoy the route at their own pace.

To register, visit the township's CommunityPass portal and select "Township of Millburn Activities 2026." The township's event calendar page has full details on the ride. Registration opened in April and remains available.

Volunteers are needed for setup on Saturday, Sept. 19, and on event day. A sign-up form is available at twp.millburn.nj.us/TDMvolunteer, according to Patch.

If rain washes out the ride, the backup date is Sunday, Oct. 4.
