Gustavo Rivas-Cardona, 35, of Linden, was arrested Sept. 2 after allegedly threatening a passenger with a baseball bat on Essex Street near the Millburn Train Station, according to a Patch news report. Police said the confrontation stemmed from a dispute over an Uber pickup location; the passenger had canceled the ride. An officer intervened after spotting the man waving the bat and screaming. Rivas-Cardona was charged with making terroristic threats and possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose. The arrest became public Sept. 13 when Patch reported it. No court date has been announced.
