Drivers and residents on Hickory Place in Livingston should expect traffic delays and possible water disruptions Tuesday, July 14, as the township conducts scheduled water main repairs on the street.

The work runs from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., according to a notice Livingston Township posted on its website Sunday, July 12.

Homes on and near Hickory Place may experience water interruptions or discolored water during the eight-hour repair window. The township advises anyone who sees air bubbles or discoloration to run the cold water faucet at the sink closest to their water meter until the water runs clear.

Traffic on Hickory Place will be affected throughout the day. The township is asking drivers to plan alternate routes.

The notice did not specify the cause of the repair, the length of pipe involved, or how many households are directly affected. No follow-up maintenance dates have been announced.
