Millburn Township Committee approved a $159,924.73 contract for new parking pay stations in the downtown business district at its Tuesday, July 14 meeting.

The contract goes to Integrated Technical Systems Inc., a Parsippany-based parking technology company, according to TAPinto Millburn-Short Hills and the township's meeting agenda. Resolution 26-174 passed on the consent agenda without separate debate.

The township made the purchase through the Sourcewell Cooperative Purchase Program, a national cooperative that pre-negotiates contracts for public agencies, avoiding a separate local bid process.

What the new system does

The pay station system is described as configurable and capable of interactive metrics, data visualization, and automated reporting. Integrated Technical Systems offers both single-space and multi-space meters with multiple payment options, according to the company's website. Details remain thin. The township has not announced how many stations will be installed, their exact locations, or a deployment timeline.

Part of a broader infrastructure push

The July 14 agenda also included resolutions authorizing bids for Short Hills Train Station Pedestrian Safety Improvements and Millburn Avenue Pedestrian Safety and Traffic Improvements 2026, pointing to a wider investment in downtown infrastructure by the committee led by Mayor Frank Saccomandi.
