Millburn native Jessica Perlmutter, 16, has earned a spot on the U.S. Snowboard Team's 2026-27 slopestyle and big air pro roster.
U.S. Ski & Snowboard announced the roster on Oct. 8. The pro team also includes two-time Olympic slopestyle gold medalist Jamie Anderson and 2018 Olympic slopestyle champion Red Gerard.
Three-time Olympic medalist Chloe Kim headlines the halfpipe roster.
Perlmutter made her Olympic debut at the 2026 Milano Cortina Winter Games, finishing sixth in the women's slopestyle final and 23rd in big air. She earned her Team USA nomination at 15, one of the youngest athletes on the Olympic roster, according to her Team USA profile.
The promotion caps a rapid rise.
Perlmutter entered The Uninvited Invitational in 2024 as a 14-year-old wildcard and finished third, earning a Rookie Award. She returned the next year and won the overall title. At Heavy Metal Boston, her laid-out backflip energized a crowd of 20,000 at Boston's City Hall Plaza. She also won The Bomb Hole Cup in Utah and claimed the women's slopestyle national championship at the U.S. Grand Prix in Aspen.
Perlmutter relocated to Vermont, where she trains with the Killington Mountain School. The official roster lists her series as Southern Vermont.
The pro team's new head coach is Danny Kass, a two-time Olympic medalist and seven-time X Games medalist. Rick Bower, the team's sport director, said in the announcement that the roster combines riders who have already competed at the highest level with young athletes ready to make their mark. New coaching staff across all disciplines will bring fresh energy heading toward 2030, Bower added.
Perlmutter's pro season opens with a big air competition in Innsbruck, Austria, from Nov. 26 through Nov. 28. The FIS Snowboard World Championships follow in Montafon, Austria, from March 6 through March 21, 2027.
